We’re Hiring- Participation and Inclusion Officer (Mid-Wales)
Basketball Wales is delighted to announce the creation of a new role to support the development and growth of basketball across Mid-Wales. The position, made possible through funding from our partners at Sport Wales, will play a crucial role in delivering on our new strategic aims and long-term vision for the sport.
The PIO role will focus on increasing participation and widening access to basketball across Mid-Wales, particularly among underrepresented groups. The successful candidate will work closely with clubs, communities, and local partners to deliver inclusive opportunities, ensuring that basketball is accessible to everyone—regardless of background, ability, or geography.
The formation of new clubs and additional opportunities for people from all communities across Mid-Wales to play basketball will be a key outcome of this exciting new role.
The new appointment directly supports the goals of Basketball Wales’ recently launched strategy, which focuses on growth, accessibility, and impact. Our Vision is for basketball to become widely recognised as the most socially inclusive and diverse sport in Wales. We believe in its power to unite communities and change lives.
