Walter Ededuwa Returns Home to Receive Welsh Cap
Basketball Wales is delighted to welcome former Wales international Walter Ededuwa back to Wales this month, where he was formally presented with his Welsh cap.
Born and raised in Barry, near Cardiff, Walter represented Wales between 1973 and 1978, earning 12 international caps. During his international career, he competed in two Four Nations tournaments and a Commonwealth Basketball Championship. Research has also confirmed his involvement in a European Championship qualifying tournament held in Katowice in 1971.
At club level, Walter famously scored a record-breaking 102 points for Llwynapia — a remarkable achievement that remains part of Welsh basketball folklore.
After moving to the United States in 1979, Walter settled in Indiana, where he continues to reside today. During a recent visit to Wales to see family, Basketball Wales took the opportunity to recognise his contribution to the game and formally present him with his cap.
