At this age group the young players are continuing their national team journey. They meet up for training once a month and can look forward to competing and representing Wales at tournaments, home and abroad.
David Senart – U15 girls

I started coaching basketball when I was 17, coaching a youth league in my home town of Burns Tennessee. We had an amazing year and went undefeated in my first season. I continued to coach there for another year before I moved out of the area. Later I returned to coaching helping with a church league men’s team.
I moved to the UK in 2008 and started working with Winchester City Basketball Club where I did my level 2 qualifications and coached their 2nd Men’s team as well as was the head coach at Southampton University Women’s 1st team, which only missed out on promotion to BUCS Prem by 5 points. I moved to Bristol where I started coaching National League with Bristol Storm U18 men and coached Bath Uni Women.
This is when I got started with the Welsh National program where I was given the amazing opportunity to coach the U16 girls. We had an amazing season playing friendlies against Ireland, as well as competing in the Copenhagen Invitational placing 5th in preparation for our FIBA tournament. At FIBA we were very competitive and had a great experience.
I am now in my third season with the Bristol Storm where I help run the club, as well as assisting with the Flyers Women’s D1 WNBL team on top of my Welsh duties as U15’s girls head coach.
I am now working towards my level 3 qualification and hope to provide a great experience for all of my players, as I am and always will be a player first focused coach. Basketball for me is my passion, my obsession, and my way of life, and I live my motto with my teams of One Team, One Family.
