About Participation and Inclusion

Participation and inclusion is about grassroots-level basketball, opportunities, and providing an introduction to the sport of basketball, whether that’s as an introduction to coaching. We offer activators, level ones and level twos.

We also have an introduction to refereeing at that level. It’s also about providing opportunities for new individuals or children to come and experience basketball for the first time, so whether that’s setting up a festival, giving teacher CPD or going to events with local authorities to make more basketball opportunities, it’s all about getting that first introduction to the sport and making sure that it’s a good one.

Festivals

Our basketball festivals provide fun, inclusive opportunities for young people to experience the game in a supportive environment. Designed to celebrate participation rather than performance, these events bring schools and communities together, offering pupils the chance to develop skills, build confidence, and enjoy basketball in a positive, learning environment.

Teacher CPD

Our Teacher CPD programmes equip educators with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to deliver high-quality basketball experiences in schools. Through hands-on training and curriculum-aligned resources, we empower teachers to create engaging sessions that inspire students and support long-term development in the sport.

Workforce

Developing a strong, diverse workforce is central to growing the game. We provide accessible pathways for new and existing coaches, referees, and table officials to enhance their skills, gain qualifications, and contribute to inclusive basketball communities. Whether starting or progressing your journey, we’re here to support your development.
