Swansea Storm Win BWNL 2026 Plate Final
Swansea Storm win the 2026 BWNL Plate final at Bangor University with a 76–58 win over the Ynys Môn Druids.
The Storm made a strong start and maintained control for much of the game. They converted nine three-pointers and built a lead that stretched to 25 points at its largest. The Druids continued to compete throughout and managed to draw level once, but the visitors remained in front.
Swansea set the tone early, scoring 31 points in the opening quarter, with Sol Walker contributing 15 points. The Druids found it difficult to match that pace, ending the first period on 10 points. The second quarter was more even, with both sides scoring 13, leaving the Storm ahead 44–23 at halftime.
The third quarter saw an improved spell from the Druids, including a 9–0 run that reduced the gap. However, the Storm were able to respond and maintain their lead heading into the final period.
In the fourth quarter, the Druids edged the scoring 20–14, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
Sol Walker finished with a standout performance, recording a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds, as Swansea Storm secured a 76–58 victory.
