Jr. NBA ALN Tournament Champions Crowned in Aberystwyth
Utah Jazz (Ysgol Tir Morfa) Take Top Honours at Inclusive Showcase Event
Aberystwyth played host to a remarkable day of inclusive basketball as teams from across Wales took part in the Jr. NBA ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Tournament. Held in partnership with Basketball Wales and local schools, the event welcomed learners from specialist units and ALN provisions to represent official NBA franchises in a supportive and competitive setting.
After a series of exciting matches featuring determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, Ysgol Tir Morfa (Utah Jazz) were crowned champions, defeating Ysgol Gyfun Gymunedol Penweddig (Washington Wizards) 18–6 in the final. Bishop Vaughan Comprehensive (Memphis Grizzlies) secured third place with an impressive 28–2 win over Ysgol Bro Pedr (Atlanta Hawks) in the 3rd/4th place playoff.
