Join the Basketball Wales Youth Panel – Have Your Say on the Future of Basketball in Wales
Basketball Wales is creating a Youth Panel to give young people aged 14-20 a stronger voice in shaping the future of our sport.
The panel will represent the views and experiences of young players, leaders, officials, and volunteers from across Wales. Members will help influence decision-making in key areas such as safeguarding, participation, inclusion, and player experience.
By joining, you’ll gain valuable leadership experience, contribute to real projects, and ensure that the voices of young people are heard at every level of the game.
The panel will:
- Meet bimonthly (mostly online, Basketball Wales will cover agreed travel expenses)
- Work closely with Basketball Wales staff and board members
- Present updates directly to the Board
- Have opportunities to shape new initiatives and policies
- Champion basketball in your community
Who can apply:
We’re looking for passionate young people aged 14–20 from across Wales who are involved in basketball, whether as a player, referee, coach, leader, or volunteer. You don’t need to have any previous experience on a panel, just bring your enthusiasm and ideas!
