Flint fires up as Basketball Wales 3×3 Summer Tour continues

Basketball Wales’ 3×3 Summer Tour brought a full day of fast paced basketball to the Jade Jones Pavilion Courts in Flint on Saturday 22 August. With 22 teams taking to the courts across Under 14 and Senior competition, the second stop of the 2026 tour created another brilliant atmosphere for players, families and supporters.

From early pool games to the decisive Senior knockout rounds, teams brought energy, skill and competitive spirit throughout the day. The event gave players the chance to represent their clubs, communities and teammates in one of basketball’s most exciting formats.

Results

Under 12’s

Mavricos take the U12 crown, through some hard fought games with a mixed age group competition.

Under 14

Mold Magic Warriors finished top of the Under 14 pool with an unbeaten 4–0 record, recording wins over Triple Threat, Grizzly Bears, Dreigiau, and The Mavricos (12–5).

Under 16’s

The Juice showed skill and determination to get to the U16s title.

Senior

Quarter-final 1: Cobras 10–7 In The Paint

Quarter-final 2: K Squad 21–10 Llandrindod Lakers

Quarter-final 3: Triple Threat 11–12 4 Gents

Quarter-final 4: Druids Buckets 13–3 Brick Squad

Semi-final 1: K Squad 14–10 Cobras

Semi-final 2: Druids Buckets 9–8 4 Gents

Final: K Squad 12–10 Druids Buckets

Druid buckets take the Senior title in overtime thriller

Druid Buckets came through a competitive knockout bracket to claim the Senior crown. They secured a commanding 13–3 quarter-final victory over Brick Squad before edging 4 Gents 9–8 in a closely contested semi-final.

The final delivered another thrilling encounter and went into overtime, where the North Wales team sealed the title with a decisive two-point shot.

Another brilliant stop on the 2026 Tour

Flint provided a fitting setting for another celebration of 3×3 basketball in Wales. Thank you to every player, coach, official, volunteer and supporter who helped make the day such a success.

The Summer Tour now heads to Cardiff on Sunday 30 August, where the 2026 tour will conclude at Sport Wales National Centre. Get your team together and join us for the final stop.
