Youth Team Summer 2024: British Basketball Federation Announces New Coaches and Managers
The British Basketball Federation (BBF) announced the addition of 12 assistant coaches and six team managers across six youth age groups in preparation for the upcoming FIBA Youth EuroBasket tournaments, set to take place in Summer 2024.
Among the new appointments is Ieuan Jones, who has been selected as an assistant coach for the Great Britain U18 Men. Hailing from Wales, Ieuan brings extensive coaching experience to the role. Currently, he serves as the Head of Basketball at Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) and Head Coach for the CAVC Vipers U18 team. In addition, Ieuan previously held the position of assistant coach for the Great Britain U16 Men and is currently the head coach for the Wales Women’s National Team.
Reflecting on his appointment, Ieuan said:
“I’m delighted to have been appointed assistant coach for the Great Britain U18 Men. It’s a huge honour and means a great deal to me. I’m very proud to be representing Wales at this level.”
