Jr. NBA 2026 | South Conference Tips Off In Cardiff
The Jr. NBA programme continues to inspire and develop young players across Wales, providing schools with a platform to engage with basketball in a fun, competitive, and inclusive environment.
As part of the 2026 programme, the South Conference brought together schools from across the region, with strong participation and enthusiasm on display throughout the day.
A total of 15 teams took part, split across three groups. Across the conference, schools proudly represented their assigned NBA franchises, demonstrating teamwork, effort, and growing confidence on court.

Results & Qualifiers
In Group 1, Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf 1 (Boston Celtics) delivered a dominant performance, finishing top of the group with a perfect 5–0 record. Their consistency across all fixtures saw them control the group from start to finish.
In Group 2, Radyr Comprehensive School (New York Knicks) also finished unbeaten, securing first place with a 4–0 record and demonstrating strong performances throughout.
In Group 3, Caldicot School (Philadelphia 76ers) topped the standings with a 3–1 record, navigating a competitive group to secure first place.
Following the group stages, playoff fixtures determined the final qualification spot, with Whitchurch High School (Cleveland Cavaliers) progressing to join the group winners.
