British Championship Basketball Is Coming to Wales
Welsh basketball fans can look forward to four live British Championship Basketball (BCB) league games in Cardiff during the 2026–27 season.
Delivered through an exciting partnership between BCB, Bristol Hurricanes and Cardiff City Basketball Club, the four regular-season home fixtures will take place at the Sport Wales National Centre.
An open invitation is extended to basketball clubs and supporters across Wales to get behind the country’s home hosted professional team and experience competitive British Championship action in the Welsh capital.

- Sunday 3 January 2027 v Yorkshire Dragons
- Sunday 31 January 2027 v Hemel Storm
- Saturday 13 March 2027 v London Cavaliers
- Sunday 14 March 2027 v Reading Rockets
In the lead-up to the fixtures, a series of community initiatives by Cardiff City and Bristol Hurricanes Basketball Clubs will promote the games and encourage greater participation in basketball. These will include youth basketball camps and visits to local schools and community centres, giving young players and fans the opportunity to meet Bristol Hurricanes professional players.

“We are delighted that the Bristol Hurricanes are bringing four of their regular season BCB games to Cardiff next year. This is a fantastic opportunity for basketball players, coaches and fans from across Wales to experience high level professional basketball.
“I would encourage all our members to save the dates and start planning club trips to Cardiff to watch the Hurricanes in action. This is a fantastic opportunity for our young players to see some of the best in Britain to watch, learn and aspire. We look forward to collaborating to further the progression of elite basketball in Wales.”
Supporters are encouraged to add the dates to their diaries. Opponents, full fixture details and ticket information will be announced shortly through the official Bristol Hurricanes and Basketball Wales websites and social media platforms.
Basketball Wales members will be eligible for discounted tickets for all four fixtures. Details of how to claim the discount will be confirmed alongside the general ticket launch.
