Basketball Wales U13 Development Hubs: 2026–27 Dates Announced

Basketball Wales is pleased to announce the dates for its Hybiau Datblygu dan 13 for the 2026–27 season.

The hubs provide young players with regular opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy high-quality basketball coaching within the Basketball Wales pathway.

“These monthly Development Hubs offer players in school years 6, 7 and 8 an excellent opportunity to access additional basketball sessions outside their usual club environment.

The hubs also help Basketball Wales identify talented players who may have the potential to trial for future U14 Academy programmes. They are also open to players who are not currently part of our club network, including those who may have recently discovered basketball through our primary schools festivals, secondary schools and Jr.NBA competitions.””

— Ryan Chambers, Basketball Wales Head of Performance and Coaching

U13 Super Hub — June 2027

In June 2027, players from all three regional hubs will be invited to attend a Super Hub event in Cardiff. The session will celebrate and showcase the players’ development throughout the season.

The Super Hub will also provide a talent-identification opportunity, helping to support players who wish to apply for the Basketball Wales U14 Academy trials in September 2027. Further details will be announced closer to the event.

About the U13 Regional Hubs

The U13 Regional Hubs are the entry point into the Basketball Wales Performance Programme, which begins at U14 level. These sessions help us identify players with the potential to join the following season’s programme.
