Basketball Wales Announces Return of the Terry Price Cup Finals – Senior and Junior Playoffs Set for May
Basketball Wales is delighted to confirm that the 2025 Terry Price Cup Finals will take place on the weekend of Saturday, the 3rd, and Sunday, the 4th May at Aberystwyth University. This year’s event marks a significant milestone, as it will be the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic that the Senior Competition returns, following a Junior-only format in 2023.
The Terry Price Cup has long celebrated top-level domestic talent, traditionally featuring league champions from the South Wales Basketball Association (SWBA) and the North Wales Basketball Association (NWBA). This year, the senior tournament sees an exciting expansion with the addition of a new playoff fixture between the Cardiff Basketball League (CBL) champions and the Mid and West Wales Basketball League (MWWBA) winners.
Looking ahead, Basketball Wales remains committed to the continued development of the competition. Plans are already underway to broaden the tournament in 2026, with teams from the Pembrokeshire Basketball League and the Ceredigion League set to join.
