Do you want to volunteer with Basketball Wales? If you have the time and the commitment to help basketball communities across Wales, then we’d love to hear from you.
Independent Chair of Basketball Wales
Basketball Wales is looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced independent chair who has the key skills and attributes to guide us through a very exciting time for the sport in Wales.
The School Sport Survey conducted by Sport Wales in 2022 has shown that basketball is a sport that is in high demand by pupils across Wales.
155,585 said they had participated in basketball in the 2022 school year and over 40,000 of these pupils surveyed say they would love to play more basketball but can’t because of lack of opportunity, facilities or clubs.
The result of this School Sport Survey means that Basketball Wales is in line for a significant funding increase over the next 4 years and we are now looking for the ideal person to lead us forward and to help grow the sport across all regions of the country.
Interested candidates should download the job description and person specification and submit applications to email@example.com by 23.59 on Friday 24 February 2023.
