Boston Celtics (Ysgol Glantaf) Crowned Jr. NBA Wales Boys Champions 2026
The opening day of the Basketball Wales Jr. NBA Finals Week delivered an exciting showcase of school basketball as teams from across Wales gathered at Aberystwyth University to compete for the Jr. NBA Wales Boys Championship Title.
Following a day of highly competitive action, it was the Boston Celtics (Ysgol Glantaf) who emerged as champions, producing an outstanding performance in the final to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers (Caldicot School) 25-16 and lift the 2026 Jr. NBA Wales Boys Championship trophy.

After progressing through a challenging knockout competition, the Celtics saved their best performance for the final, combining excellent teamwork, defensive intensity and composure to secure the championship title.
The Philadelphia 76ers (Caldicot School) also impressed throughout the tournament and deservedly claimed the silver medal following a strong day’s competition.
Bronze Medal Game
🥉 Charlotte Hornets (Ysgol Brynrefail) 39 – 11 Memphis Grizzlies (Ysgol Glan y Môr)
The Charlotte Hornets bounced back from their semi-final defeat to produce a dominant display in the third-place playoff, securing the bronze medal with an impressive victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
