Academy and Development squad trials for 2024/25!
Following the relaunch of the youth performance programme, an invite-only trials system will be in place for the Academy and Development squads for the 2024/25 season.
Eligibility
Automatic Entry: All players who were part of the Wales squads in 2023/24 will receive automatic entry to trials but must still register to participate.
Application Required: Players not part of any Wales squad in 2023/24 must apply. A selection panel will review these applications to decide who receives an invite.
Application Process
Nominations: Players must be nominated by a club coach. While players can complete the application forms themselves, they must have their club coach’s support.
Non-Affiliated Players: If you are not currently playing with an affiliated club in Wales, please email selaw.llabteksab@ecnamrofrep for further advice.
Important Dates
Application Deadline: Nominations must be submitted by 18th August. Late nominations will not be considered.
Trials Dates and Venues:
South Wales: Saturday, 31st August at Cardiff Met’s Archers Arena.
Mid-Wales and North Wales: Sunday, 1st September at Wrexham University.

U18-U20 Men’s Programme: Information on trials for the U18-U20 men’s programme will be provided shortly.
Ongoing Evaluation: Players not selected for trials this year are encouraged to continue working hard within their clubs. The Performance Panel will monitor players throughout the season to identify the most talented for regional and national academy programmes.
