Basketball Wales U14 Squads Set for Euro Youth Basketball Cup in Barcelona
Basketball Wales is delighted to announce the U14 Boys and U14 Girls squads that will represent Wales at the Euro Youth Basketball Cup (EYBC) in Blanes, Barcelona, from 18–22 June 2026.
The tournament provides an exciting opportunity for our young athletes to compete against some of Europe’s top youth teams, gaining invaluable international experience both on and off the court. For many of the players, this will be their first opportunity to represent Wales overseas, making it a significant milestone in their basketball journey.
The EYBC brings together clubs and representative teams from across Europe, offering a high-quality competitive environment while encouraging cultural exchange, teamwork and personal development.
The tour will also play an important role in preparing both squads ahead of the U14 Home Nations Tournament, with players continuing to build relationships and develop as teams before competing on home soil later this summer.

Looking Ahead
The Basketball Wales delegation will travel to Barcelona on Thursday 18 June, with group games beginning the following day before the tournament concludes with classification games and the closing ceremony on Sunday 21 June.
The experience promises to be an unforgettable one, allowing players to test themselves against international opposition while developing their basketball knowledge, resilience and teamwork in a professional tournament environment.
